ElstarElstar is an excellent apple with crisp and juicy fruit. It has excellent flavour, sweet but with good balancing acidity and a pleasant distinctive fruity flavour. Stores well keeping its flavour and much of its crispness through the winter. Raised in the Netherlands from Ingrid Marie and Golden Delicious and introduced in 1972. Grown extensively in continental Europe and USA.
