At the center of the visual drama is a six carat pastel blue Sapphire, surrounded by aquamarine and small Montana Sapphires. The large sapphire is no heat and most likely Ceylon in origin. I used to use one of those thin/bendable plastic cutting boards, thinking it's easier to transfer food into pots/pans from the board, but they tend to get bent in time and they're simply too thin and I hated the feeling of my knife pretty much hitting the kitchen counter. So, I decided to buy this set. I wanted to try a wooden board, but didn't want to spend too much in case I didn't like it, and this set had the perfect price tag and I liked the fact it came with 4 different sizes, so that I can see what size would actually be more useful. I've been using it for 2 months now they're doing great (except one of them started splitting a bit and started showing some strange black dots on the side... possibly mold??? though I can't think of any reason why mold would grow on just one of them. Maybe it's related to the fact that it's the only one that's cracking. And this is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.) Anyway, apart from that one, the rest are doing well and having 3 boards is plenty. I like the juice groove to avoid spilling liquid on the board, as it happened so many time using the bendable plastic boards. I'm handwashing them with dish soap. They seem to dry pretty fast, and so far no stains etc. on the surface. They're not super duper thick so even the largest one is not too difficult to handle. I sometimes use them to serve some food like appetizers, snacks, pizzas and sandwiches, etc. too!
